Justin Bieber's new dance routine

I was doing some research at a local establishment and came across Bieber preparing for his show in Perth tonight:

Twitter: A threat to a fading media paradigm

Sally Morrell (Mrs Andrew Bolt) on... The sad little world of twitter

What a cockatoo thinks:

I use twitter as a source of amusement. I follow comedians and entertainers whose jokes I like, and sometimes attend their shows or buy their DVDs if they are consistently to my liking. A symbiotic relationship, similar to podcasting.

I use it as a source of direct immediate access to news and professional networks worldwide, free from the restrictions of paper publishing and as a notification method for articles by short and long form journalists I respect.

I have found my experience and enjoyment augmented by a twitter stream in areas ranging from attending a political protest to live radio and television.

When I read a newspaper, I must sort through a lot of chaff to find a little wheat. The same applies to twitter. This is a skill that grows with practice.

I choose to add my little voice to the chorus at times. Not many will hear it. I don't care. Any fool can write a letter to the editor.

Or an opinion piece.

Jesus: Zombie or Vampire

The case for Vampire:

He's dead until the stakes come out.

Drinking the Blood of Christ, you will catch his disease, speaking metaphorically.

The case for Zombie:

Jesus rises from the dead during the day.

Eating the Body of Christ, you will catch his disease. So to speak.

Jesus is therefore a Vombie.

Case closed.

Time for my brain pills.

Gaga via Weird Al

I confess I'm not au fait with the productions of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (aka Lady Gaga) in general.

I know she sings a song about poker, and wears odd clothes.

But after hearing this Weird Al parody I actually have a little respect for her. Weird.

Updated: Once I watched the original Lady Gaga music video, I realised that it did appear to promote anti-racism and anti-homophobia in a catchy anthemic way. Good.

I also discovered it was a 2min30sec ode to narcissism, followed by a stereotypically synchronised "hot girls in bikinis and shirtless hot boys" video. Not so good.
